The main value of the application is making use of two various technologies within one element, taking advantage of either. The hydroabrasive cutting technology enables the highest qualitative parameters (characteristic of mechanical microprocessing), whereas the HyDefinition plasma cutting technology provides for low manufacturing costs with sufficient engineering parameters within the element edge which do not require maintaining the highest standards.

Comparing the technology presented by the COMBO device to the one by the water-cutting device, one can see that the difference in the cutting speed between the two technologies comes positively to the advantage of the combined technology. Depending on the thickness and type of the material, this amounts to 20 to 60%. The difference is even bigger if we compare the unit costs of cutting. Taking as an example a stainless steel material 15 mm in thickness, the price of 1 m using the COMBO technology is 1.25, whereas with the laser technology it is three times higher and with the water technology – five times higher.

The Combo cutter is a combination of two state-of-the-art cutting technologies. This allows producing elements of the hitherto unprecedented manufacturing accuracy with the lowest possible cost of fabrication.
